Over the past few days in art class, we have been drawing faces. We started by drawing skulls to get the idea of where all the parts of the human skull are. I learned that the human skull is made of two parts, the jaw and the head. The head includes the face, upper jaw, and scalp. For all of these i just used pencil and paper to create these drawings. I learned that the space between the eyes is the same size as one eye. I also learned that the eyes are in the middle of your face. The drawings appear fairly simple but only people who can draw know the effort that went into these.
In art for the last two weeks, we have been making chalk landscapes. We used paper chalk on colored paper to make these landscapes. The drawings we drew we had taken outside our school. My first picture was an ocean view of Seattle. My second one was of the road outside my school. I learned how the way the lines go show different planes on the paper and can show 3D on the paper. I also made things smaller and bigger to show space. Then I used different colors and blended them together to get the color that i wanted. the mood of my Seattle water view is happy and bright. The elements used were lines and colors.
